Heating principle
When the gas burns, the stainless steel mesh cover of the burner is heated. The stainless steel mesh cover quickly turns red and heats the air through the stainless steel mesh cover. When the gas burns, air convection is generated to circulate the heated air. At the same time, the stainless steel mesh cover turns red and can generate far-infrared radiation to heat the surrounding objects (the infrared rays at this time are harmless to the human body).
Protection device
Umbrella heaters usually have: tipping protection, flameout protection, and hypoxia protection. Flameout protection: No matter what reason the heater is turned off, the heat sensing needle (i.e., thermocouple) will stop generating current (the current in the protection device is generated by thermal inductance without external power supply), and the solenoid valve will automatically extend the closed gas supply pipeline in the absence of current, so that the heater will automatically cut off the gas. To ignite again, you need to reset the heater control switch and operate again. Tipping protection: If the heater is vibrating or tipping over when it is working normally, the built-in tipping protection switch will react immediately, cut off the solenoid valve power supply circuit, and the solenoid valve will extend the closed gas supply pipeline, so that the heater will automatically cut off the gas and flame out. To ignite again, you need to reset the heater control switch and operate it again.Oxygen deficiency protection: Before the oxygen in the air drops to a level that affects normal human breathing, the flame will be separated from the heat sensing needle, and the heat sensing needle (i.e., thermocouple) will stop generating current. In the absence of current, the solenoid valve will automatically extend and close the gas supply pipeline, causing the heater to automatically cut off the gas. To ignite again, you need to reset the heater control switch and operate it again. All three types of protection are ultimately implemented by the solenoid valve to cut off the gas. If any type of protection fails, the heater will not be able to start and work normally. Therefore, there is no situation where the heater can still be used and the protection device fails. If the heater automatically goes out after you let go of it after ignition, this fault is generally caused by the failure of the protection device. The solution is generally to replace the heat sensing needle or the solenoid valve.
