PTC heater
PTC is the abbreviation of a ceramic electric heating element. It uses a fan to drive air to flow through the PTC electric heating element for forced convection, which is the main heat exchange method. It is equipped with a thermostat inside. When the air outlet is blocked by the fan, the power can be cut off automatically. Some also have an automatic power-off function when tilted or overturned. That is, when the heater is tilted or overturned, it can also cut off the power automatically. The output power of the PTC heater is 800-1200 watts, and the temperature can be adjusted at will.
Advantages: The air supply is soft during operation, the temperature rises quickly, and it has an automatic constant temperature function. PTC elements are generally waterproof and small in size, and can be used in the bathroom.
Disadvantages: Low power and can only be used in a small range. If you blow at the same place for a long time, the human skin will feel uncomfortable. Moreover, if it is used for a long time without timely cleaning, the bacteria on the heater will be blown into the air faster, which will become a health hazard. In addition, the power of the heater is generally relatively small, and the noise when it is turned on is also a headache.
Convection electric heater
The air outlet is on the top of the cover of this electric heater, and the air inlet is on the bottom. After power is turned on, the air around the electric heating tube is heated and rises, and flows out from the air outlet, while the surrounding cold air enters from the air inlet to replenish. This repeated cycle increases the indoor temperature. When the inlet and outlet are blocked or the ambient temperature is too high, the temperature control element will automatically cut off the power supply of the electric heating tube. This electric heater uses a power of about 800 watts, and the power can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of connected electric heating tubes.
Advantages: The electric heater has high safety performance and runs quietly.
Disadvantages: The temperature rises slowly and the ambient humidity drops significantly.
Electric heating heater
Also called oil-filled electric heater. This electric heater is filled with a new type of heat-conducting oil. When the power is turned on, the heat-conducting oil around the electric heating tube is heated, and then the heat is dissipated along the heat pipe or the fins. When the oil temperature reaches 85℃, its temperature control element automatically cuts off the power. This kind of electric heater does not need to replace the heat transfer oil, has a long service life, and is generally priced between 400 and 500 yuan. It is suitable for use in living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, and homes with elderly people and children. It has the advantages of safety, hygiene, dust-free, and odorless. The disadvantages are slow heat dissipation and high power consumption. The oil radiator has 7, 9, 10, 12 fins, etc. The power can be adjusted by selecting the number of fins, and the power used is about 1200 watts.
Electric heating film electric heater
Adopts hot air duct structure, heat transfer method is enhanced convection, hot start speed is fast, and the air outlet temperature can reach more than 100℃ within 3 minutes.
Advantages: The electric heating film itself does not oxidize when heated, so the service life can be 100,000 hours. At the same time, it has the characteristics of small size and beautiful shape. It belongs to the replacement product of the electric heater family.
Disadvantages: Cools quickly after power failure.
The appearance is relatively thin, similar to the general shape of LCD TV. This heater heats up quickly and is easy to cool quickly after power failure.
High-temperature far-infrared radiation heater
Use a photocatalytic coating composition surface radiation plate, heated by armored electric heating tubes, use electrical energy to convert into thermal energy, and then convert thermal energy into far-infrared through the radiation plate. The radiation area is heated evenly, and the entire system mainly heats by far-infrared radiation.
Advantages: No convection heat transfer, almost no effect on air humidity, high power, 1500w to 4000w available on the market, high comfort, fixed area heating evenly, when only heating the active area, short-term use is faster and more power-saving, and can be used outside the window.
Disadvantages: Fixed wall construction and installation, some power must be installed using lead wires.
